Wellbeing at the centre
If you’re on this page it’s because you may be curious about what is behind ALTER MADE. Or perhaps you’re still unclear about what Wellbeing really is. Well, it’s wonderful to have you here, so let us explain to you what it means to us. There are many interpretations to differentiate Wellness and Wellbeing, always related to health and happiness, but these are ours:
Wellness has been widely used in the field of medicine, and refers to the absence of disease or discomfort, an active search for healthy habits for better physical and mental health. Some examples of practices to promote Wellness include physical exercise, a balanced diet, drinking plenty of water or sleeping 8 hours a day.
Wellbeing is a state of happiness and satisfaction that transcends health and considers a person as a whole, since it has a strong mental and emotional component. Some aspects that make up Wellbeing include keeping meaningful and quality relationships, being connected with yourself, feeling happy with your life.
Wearable Wellbeing for us
We really identify with the concept of Wellbeing and we have based our philosophy on the search for that sensation and on trying to convey it to our customers through everything we do. Therefore, our motto is “Wearable Wellbeing”. We also believe that Wellbeing is knowing that the brands you consume are compatible with your values.
It is feeling proud of the way you do things and wanting to tell others all about it. For this reason, we strive to make sure you know exactly where our garments come from, who has made them and how they have made it into your hands.
Wellbeing is also finding serenity in the moment you open your closet and see clothes that you still enjoy wearing and that look perfect no matter how much time has passed. It's giving someone a gift that you feel good about, feeling happy and satisfied because you know that the person is going to love it as much as you do.
For us, Wellbeing is looking at yourself in the mirror and feeling comfortable with who you are and what you do. It's getting dressed in the morning in a hurry and still feeling like you look beautiful and are comfortable, a feeling that lasts all day. It's lighting that candle that you love after a long day and feeling at home.
